The problem with socks

I love making these yoga socks. They’re super cute, comfy, and a joy to finish. But there’s a problem. I have to make two of them! I get finished with one, and I’m like, sweet another sock done! Only to realize that I still have to make a second sock. Boo.

I get a bit overambitious, and I’m constantly looking for new ideas for my shop. I spend a lot of my time on Craftgawker, which one blogger so aptly referred to as craft porn, and Pinterest, looking for new ideas. Looking for stuff that I could make, that’s super cute, that there’s a market for. That’s a lot of work! Add into it that I’m probably making a pair of socks at the same time, and I’m surprised I have time for much else. But I’m doing something I love to do, and would be doing anyway, so I guess it works out ok.

Anyway, so here is what I think will be my next project. I found these super cute tea toters yesterday, which I can make to match the coffee cozies that are already listed. I’m having a little trouble figuring out what I’m going to do with them though. Do I sell them? Do I send them as a little “gift” to anyone who buys the cozies? Both maybe? Either way, they’re super cute, and I love them. And more importantly, I have the materials to make them. I buy a lot of yarn already, and my craft room/roommates bedroom is almost overrun with the stuff, so I try to make stuff that uses what I already have. These are perfect! Plus, did I mention how cute they are?

  1. Hee hee! Good point on the sock issue πŸ™‚ I wouldn’t even start a project like that, I have the attention span of a spanner!
Those tea totters are awesome! I think they would be lovely if you made several and had them in a wee basket at a stall. Too cute… If only we could knit πŸ˜€
Found your blog on etsy so thought I would drop by and say hi πŸ™‚
    Great blog!

    • It’s not too late, you can teach yourself! I was unemployed a while back and decided I needed a new hobby. It has been great for those times when I feel boredom start to creep in. Thanks for stopping by! πŸ™‚

  2. That’s like with earrings. Sometimes I’ll be making a pair… finish one beautiful earring, realize I have to make a match for it, but now I’m out of the beads I need.

Love the tea bag totes! What a cute idea!
